Punjab State Agricultural Marketing Board(Class-III) Service Rules
(Amendment - 06)


1. (1) These rules may be called the Punjab State Agricultural Marketing Board (Class-III) Service (First Amendment) Rules, 2012.
  (2) They Shall come into force on and with effect from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

Junior Engineer (Civil)

Junior Engineer (Public Health)

(i)  Seventy five percent by Direct appointment;
(ii) Twenty five percent by promotion;
Provided that if no suitable person is available for appointment to the Service by promotion, then such a post shall be filed in by transfer on deputation and the vacancy so filled in shall be counted towards the quota fixed for appointment by promotion.]
Should possess Diploma in Civil Engineering of a recognized  institute.

1[(i)  Five from amongst the Surveyors who have posses a Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recorgnized Institute, and who have an experience of working as such for a minimum period of eight years ;
(ii)  Two and half percent from amongest the Surveyor who are non-diploma holders, and who have an experience of working as such for a minimum period of ten years:
   Provided that such Non-diploma holders shall have to pass an examination the pattern of Department of Public Works (B & R), to be conducted by the Board;
(iii)) Five percent from amongest the Supervisors, who posses Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recorgnized Institute, and who have an experience of working as such for a minimum period of eight years;
(iv) Five percent from amongest the Supervisors, who are non-Diploma holders and who are working in the Board or Committees and have an experience of working as such for a minimum period of fifteen years:
 Provided that such Non-diploma holders shall have to pass an examination the pattern of Department of Public Works (B & R), to be conducted by the Board; and
(v) Two and half percent from amongst the Draftsmen (Civil), working in the Board who possess Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute, and who have an experience of working as such for a minimum period of ten years.
(vi) Two and half percent from amongst the Pump Operators or Plumbers, who possess a Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute, and who have an experience of working as such for a minimum period of eight years.
(vii) Two and half percent from amongst the Pump Operators or Plumbers, who are non-Diploma holders and who are working in the Board or Committees and have an experience of working as such for a minimum period of fifteen years.
   Provided that such Non-diploma holders shall have to pass an examination the pattern of Department of Public Works (B & R), to be conducted by the Board;]

From amongst the Junior Engineers (Civil) working in a Department of the Government of Punjab or in a State Government undertaking] who have an experience of working as such for a minimum period of two years. ]
