To increase the shelf life of Kinnow(Citrus) fruit, three grading centres one each at Badal (Distt. Mukatsar), Kangmai(Distt. Hoshiarpur) and Baluana (Distt. Ferozepur) were opened with partial finance provided by the PSAMB. The Punjab Agro Industries Corporation of the State is running these centres. Grading and Waxing of the Kinnows done at these centres enabled an increase in shelf life of the produce to minimum one month.
