There is a plan for conversion of agri-waste in fruits and vegetables markets into vermi-compost. Punjab State Council of Science and Technology is undertaking the project at Rajpura sabzi mandi for scientific disposal of agriculture waste and its conversion into vermi compost on an experimental basis. This will ensure proper cleaning of fruits and vegetables markets vis a vis good organic fertilizer to farmers also.
